Bilateral Breast Reduction
Symptoms
- Large Heavy Breasts
- Breasts that are felt to be too large for your body frame
- Neck and or back pain requiring analgesia as a result of your large breasts
- Bra Strap divot marks in shoulders
- Skin irritation or infections in breast crease
Surgery
- A breast reduction under general anaesthetic
After Care
- An overnight stay after surgery
- Leave Dressings on until you are seen in clinic
- No showering for 48 hours
- When starting to shower dry tapes afterwards with a hair dryer
- Wear the provided support bra day and night for 6 weeks to help remould your breasts
- No strenuous exercise for 6 weeks
- No smoking to reduce wound healing problems
- You may drive if you feel well enough to do an emergency stop
- Scar care 3 weeks after surgery
