Symptoms
- A swelling present at birth or a few weeks after birth which enlarges
- An area of red/pink/purple/blue discoloration
- A swelling which can enlarge and change colour with crying or exercise
Surgery
- Maybe just observation alone, the most common form goes away by itself
- Maybe LASER therapy
- Maybe steroid/propanolol medication under the supervision of a paediatrician
- Maybe injections by an x-ray specialist
- Maybe surgery for any areas that don’t fully go away
