Symptoms
- A flat or raised mark which can be red/brown/flesh coloured
- A swelling under the skin which doesn’t change in size or colour with activities of living
Surgery
- Maybe none and observation alone
- Removal under general anaesthetic for young children or local anaesthetic for older children/adults
After Care
- Leave the dressings dry and intact until return to clinic
- No washing the affected area for 48 hours
- No exercise for 48 hours
- If the paper tapes get wet dry them with a hair dryer
- Take simple over the counter pain relief like Paracetamol or Nurofen for 48 hours or more for any discomfort
